Stephanie Horowitz holds a Masters Degree from the New England Conservatory of music in Boston, MA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music.
A native of Long Island, NY, Stephanie is currently a private voice teacher in Merrick and Manhattan, NY. She currently studies with Sherry Overholt and Mary Saunders-Barton.
Stephanie Horowitz is a dynamic soprano who is gaining popularity for her unique style, theatricality, and extreme versatility.
Noted operatic appearances include the Title Role in Princess Ida, Marguerite (Faust), La Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Noemie (Cendrillon) (pictured), Mrs. Fezziwig in the New York City premier of Scrooge and Gilbert and Sullivan with the Village Light Opera Group, and Ciesca (Gianni Schicchi.) Ms. Horowitz has also covered major roles such as Anezka (The Two Widows), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), and Mrs. Which in Libby Larsen’s A Wrinkle in Time.
Ms. Horowitz is an accomplished recitalist and soloist. Recent concert solos include the Soprano solo in Vivaldi's Gloria at Our Lady of Lourdes in Massapequa, NY, and her one-woman concerts Many Voices at the New York Society Library and Soprano Unfiltered at the Malverne Historical Society in Malverne, NY. She has been a guest soloist with the Northwinds Symphonic Band as well as the 92nd St. Y in Manhattan. She is currently the Cantorial Soloist at the Falmouth Jewish Congregation in Cape Cod, MA, as well as a singer for churches and synagogues in the New York metro area.
